I’m still not sure how to pronounce this game, but I’m very excited to see one of the Kickstarter projects that I backed finally released on Steam! The game is even 10% off till March 2nd. CreaVures is a puzzle-platformer set in a magical forest. You play as five different “Creavures,” tiny mythical creatures that each have a unique natural ability. Together your Creavures must travel deep into the dying forest, using their abilities alone or in tandem to gather essence and restore the light.

The Ladies of Leet was fortunate to receive an invitation to Austin, TX and become a freshman in the first ever DC University on Nov 2nd, 2010. In this lesson we join (Professors) Wes Yanagi & Chris Cao as they walk us through the real physics in one of the Alerts (Smallville) in the new MMO coming out early next year DC Universe Online.

A special thanks goes out to the entire DCUO team for such a great event!

Even though Adam Sessler recorded this back in 2008, I still agree with everything he says here. It’s a great watch if you haven’t seen it already and since we talked about this very topic in Episode 15, I thought it worth posting. At the end of this video I find myself yelling “YA!” at the computer. It seems the hard part for some (including the console & gaming manufactures) is actually listening to Adam, because nothing has changed since 2008.

Little Big Planet for the PSP

I’ve really been looking forward to this release and it’s finally here. From the video it looks like it will be a very similar game play as the console version so I’m excited to play. Only problem is, do I wait and let my husband buy it for my for Christmas or just go get it today. I’m not sure I’ll be able to wait…you know I have to review it for the show and all :)

Dante’s Inferno: Boobs Get Their Revenge

So a few years ago X-Play previewed a game that had a story line that excited me. It involved a women going through the 7 layers of hell to find her son (at least that’s what my fuzzy memory remembers). The game was to be based on the poem The Devine Comedy, but unfortunately never came out and I pretty much gave up hope. So image my surprise when I stumble across a preview for Dante’s Inferno today. It’s the same concept of the 7 layers of hell, but instead of a woman it’s a badass dude. After watching the intro preview I immediately thought of one of my favorite games, God of War. Which pretty much means I’ll buy and play this game the day it comes out. The game isn’t going to be released until February 9, 2010, but previews of the game are being release. One level I’m sure that will cause a bit of a stir is Lust and fitting in with the theme of the level, the main boss has huge boobs with babies that come out of them and try and kill you. haha ya you heard me correctly. Check out the 2nd video below (warning there are cartoon boobs in this clip) to get a peek into the game play. I wonder if one of the developers was watching too much Austin Powers and got inspired by the fembots :)

I’m still not sure how I feel about the boobs, considering I know the audience they are trying to attract is male and I do understand they need to make the Lust level, well lusty. But it makes me think would it be appropriate if it was a giant penis?

How to Sell Video Games to Women

Hmmm, not really sure what to say about this video. The commentary over the actual video isn’t all that funny, but what I was more interested in was how GameStop was going to make their women shoppers feel more at ease. I’m assuming this was a training video for employees, but wow are we that hard to sell video games too?

update- ok I’ve watched the video a couple of times and after getting over the initial shock of how Gamestop is suppose to address me when I entered the store (yep that’s exactly how they talk to me), I have a new found appreciation for the commentary over the video. That guy cracks me up!
