Episode 2: Circle of Wind

Posted on 03 October 2009 by nicole

This is episode 2 of Ladies of Leet. This week Nicole, Kim & Stephanie discuss obtaining the Brewfest Brewmaster title in WoW, playing the first 10 levels of AION, and puzzle game Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box. We discuss the new PSP Go, an interesting marketing tactic by Gamestop, the confirmed price drop of the Wii and share some great bargains on games and using AppShopper.com to find deals on iPhone apps. In our WoW segment we take a moment to look back at some of our most embarrassing noob moments in World of Warcraft. We’re all friends here right? :)

Mophie and the FastMac Vi were both recommended by a listener as great extender batteries for the iPhone

How to Sell Video Games to Women

Posted on 15 September 2009 by nicolespag

Hmmm, not really sure what to say about this video. The commentary over the actual video isn’t all that funny, but what I was more interested in was how GameStop was going to make their women shoppers feel more at ease. I’m assuming this was a training video for employees, but wow are we that hard to sell video games too?

update- ok I’ve watched the video a couple of times and after getting over the initial shock of how Gamestop is suppose to address me when I entered the store (yep that’s exactly how they talk to me), I have a new found appreciation for the commentary over the video. That guy cracks me up!
