In episode 70 of Ladies of Leet, Nicole talked about receiving the Borderlands 2 Diamond Plate Loot Chest from ThinkGeek & Gearbox. Here is a quick look at what was inside the box.
First we have the box the chest came in. How can I throw this away!?!
Inside is the chest itself. It’s plastic, but what I want to know is, where the hell are the diamonds?! Ooooh diamond symbols on the top plate of the chest. I knew it was too good to be true ;)
Next up, all the things inside: A pretty cool poster (that was impossible to keep open for this pic) of all 4 of the vault hunters from Borderlands 2. Then you have 10 decals, including the Borderlands vault symbol and all the brands of the guns, to stick on your 10 cars (or laptops or whatever you want to stick them on). A stack of Shift code cards full of some badass guns and mods!
And finally an awesome Goliath Head mask that makes me feel like I’m a 10 years old going trick-or-treating.
Oh and this is proof that it was a limited edition
There were also 4 pieces of crumpled up “newspaper” from Pandara to pad the contents of the chest. It was a nice little easter egg and fun to read.
Update: Nicole mistakenly thought that there was a shift code to change the Mechromancer’s companion into Claptrap. Unfortunately it’s not, it’s a class mode of a lunchbox with Claptrap on the lunchbox. Damn that would have been awesome though.
